The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering has 21 full-time faculty members with expertise in frontier materials, green processes, and biotechnology. The department has floor space of 8500 m2, including central instrumental analysis labs equipped with state-of-the-art analytical facilities. The University has been active in conducting researches, group and individual projects, funded by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and Ministry of Education (MOE) of Taiwan.
