主要研究領域

1.生醫材料與組織工程 
天然與合成高分子生醫材料的開發。包括天然高分子生醫材料(膠原蛋白、幾丁質、幾丁聚醣、透明質酸、蠶絲蛋白)的生產、分離純化、加工、與利用具活性的生 物分子之修飾。合成高分子生醫材料的化學合成製備、性質分析、與利用電漿反應器進行改質。利用所得的各式生醫材料為骨架,配合各式生物反應器,進行適用於 體內或體外的肝組織工程、軟骨組織工程、及人工皮膚等研究。

2.生化工程
以有機或無機材料進行生物分子、酵素、與細胞的固定化,利用生物催化方式應用於特化品的生產、廢水處理、生化分離、及生醫用途。目前研究工作主要針對各型 酯頹及光學活性藥物的生產、生質柴油與生質酒精的生產、藥物制放、人工器官開發、染整廢水脫色、及廢水重金屬去除等。
